  • PUDO Lockers (Recommended for Speed & Convenience): In our experience, PUDO lockers are often faster, frequently delivering a day earlier than door-to-door couriers. They offer ultimate flexibility because you are not tied to a specific time slot.


  • The Courier Guy Door-to-Door: A courier driver will collect the package directly from your home or work address. However, you must keep in mind that the driver will arrive during standard delivery windows, requiring you to be available at that location.


Important note: Door-to-door couriers do not supply boxes upon arrival; your console must be fully boxed and packaged before they knock on your door.


2. How the PUDO Locker System Works


Using a PUDO locker to send your PS5 is remarkably straightforward if you follow these parameters:


  • The Booking Process: Once your trade-in is initiated, we book the locker slot and send a unique drop-off code directly to your phone or email.


  • The 3-Day Window: You can deposit your package into a PUDO locker 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, giving you complete control over your schedule. However, you must deposit the package within 3 days of receiving your code, or the booking will expire.


  • Locker Box Sizes & Kiosks: You can purchase the exact correct box size from any Courier Guy kiosk. Once packed, simply take it to your nearest PUDO locker, punch in your code, place it inside, and close the door.

For PUDO Lockers, the following lockers fit PS5 consoles. It's important to measure your box and ensure it will fit before we book the locker:


  • Medium (42 cm x 20 cm x 60 cm): Fits original boxes for PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro


  • Large (42 cm x 44 cm x 60 cm): Fits PS5 First Gen original box and accessories


  • Extra-Large (42 cm x 70 cm x 60 cm): Only for massive packages. Only a few PUDO Lockers offer XL.


Note: Please package the console in the smallest box possible. This ensures it is packaged tightly and won't move/scratch during transportation. Need help? Take everything to your nearest Courier Guy kiosk so they can package it securely for you.


3. How to Package Your PS5 Securely


A secure package prevents internal component damage, laser displacement, and analog stick drift during transit across South Africa.


If You Don’t Have the Original Box:


  1. Visit a Courier Guy Kiosk: You can take your bare PS5 and its accessories directly to a Courier Guy kiosk for assistance, where professional-grade bubble wrap and the correct-sized boxes are available.


  2. Alternative DIY Packaging: If you are packing at home without the original box, wrap the console generously in multiple layers of bubble wrap.


  3. Securing Loose Items: Use sturdy shopping bags or crumpled packing paper to fill empty gaps inside the outer box.


Crucial rule: Nothing should shift or rattle when you shake the sealed box. Wrap your DualSense controller separately so the analog sticks are not compressed against hard surfaces.
