We would choose the original PlayStation 4 console to save money and still get a brilliant gaming console.
Released in 2013, you'd think these consoles are outdated and break often, but it's quite the opposite. They are some of the best gaming consoles available, don't give any hassles, and rarely need repairs.
However, you need to buy the original PS4 from a reliable source. Since they are older, they always need a service to replace the dried-up thermal paste that keeps the CPU cool. There's usually a lot of dust as well, especially in the cooling vents, so avoid buying these privately, unless you're planning to send it for a service.
Why Buy the PlayStation 4 Slim
We'd buy the PlayStation 4 Slim because it's newer (released in 2016), smaller, and better at cooling, meaning it's quieter as well.
