How do Gaming Console Auctions Work?

Our gaming console auctions give all South Africans the opportunity to compete for incredible deals by placing bids. If your bid is the highest at the end of the auction (end date and time), you'll win the auction. You'll then have 72 hours to complete the payment (courier fees are included in the price).

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to participate in our auctions:

1. Review Items on Auction

Before placing a bid, click on items to see the full product description.

This will include all the product details, condition, and what's included.

4. Watch the Countdown

Some bidders might wait until the last minute to outbid you and win the item.

To avoid this and remain the winner, watch the auction when it's about to end.

2. Placing Your First Bid

Every item has a starting or current bid. To compete for the item, open the product and increase the bid amount.

Only bid on items you want and can afford.

5. Winning the Auction

When the auction ends, the highest bidder wins the item for the final bid price.

You'll receive an email and will have 72 hours to complete the purchase.

3. Increasing Your Bid

Other participants might place a higher bid on the same items before the auction ends.

You'll receive an email and have the option to place another bid to lead the auction again.

6. Receiving Your Item

Once you've made the payment, we'll package your item and send it.

We use PUDO locks to send your package anywhere in South Africa.

About Our Gaming Console Auctions

To participate in our gaming console auctions, you must be at least 18 years old. Please only place a bid on items you can afford. Here's a breakdown of how our auctions work:

Products on Auction: Our auctions feature a wide range of items, including PS5 consoles, accessories, games, controllers, and more.
Highest Bid: The current highest bid for the item. You can choose to increase the amount with your own bid to lead the bid and win when the time runs out.
End Date and Time: Shows when the auction will end. The highest bidder when the time runs out will win the auction and receive the item for the stated price.
Auction Duration: Most auctions will run for 7 days, while others will be available for up to 1 month, depending on the item's popularity and the auction's timing.
New Auction Products: MobiTraderSA will add new items weekly, so check back often to see what's new on our console auctions.

Every week, MobiTraderSA will add additional items to the live auctions, which everyone can bid on. These gaming items include consoles, controllers, game packages, VR headsets, and much more.

Auctions are live for a set period, which is stated on the product (each product has a different end date). During the bidding phase (between the start and end dates), you can place a bid on any of our items.

At the end of the auction, the highest bidder will win, and you'll receive an email to complete your payment within 72 hours.

What if I Win the Auction and Don't Pay?

The MobiTraderSA auctions are one of only a few reliable and legit console auctions in South Africa. We do our best to allow everyone to participate, but we ask you, as the user, to bid responsibly to ensure you always have access.

If you place a bid on any items and win the bid when the auction is over, you are liable for the payment within 72 hours. Failure to complete the payment will result in blocking your account, meaning you can no longer participate in our gaming console auctions.
