COMPATABILITY:
Xbox Series X | Series S: It works only as an external drive if you put it inside a USB-to-SATA enclosure/adapter. However, you can only play Xbox One, Xbox 360, and original Xbox backward-compatible games from it. Optimized Series X|S games cannot be played directly from a USB drive and must be stored there or moved to the internal SSD to play.
 
Xbox One, One S, One X: It works great either externally via a USB 3.0 adapter or as a replacement for the internal mechanical hard drive. Using an internal swap or external USB enclosure will noticeably improve game loading times compared to the stock hard drive. 

PS4 and PS4 Pro: Fully compatible as an internal replacement drive. It physically replaces the stock 2.5-inch mechanical hard drive and matches the 7mm thickness requirement.
